To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler
- Right-click the DependOnService value, and then click Modify.
- In the Value data box, delete the event that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
Note Typically, RPCSS is the only service that is in the DependOnService value.
1. Run regedit.exe.
2. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler
3. Make sure that ImagePath is of the Reg_Expand_SZ type.
4. Replace its data with %SystemRoot%\system32\spoolsv.exe
5. Run services.exe.
6. Double-click the Spooler service.
7. Verify that the executable is now c:\windows\system32\spoolsv.exe
8. Start the service.
If could not find file spoolsv.exe, we will copy it from other computer
